Projects Expert is a fast-growing consultancy and SaaS provider specialising in Oracle Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Cloud. Our mission is to help enterprises achieve strategic alignment, streamline project governance, and unlock greater value from their Oracle ERP investments. Our proprietary SaaS platform enhances Oracle’s native capabilities with advanced planning, capital governance, and AI-driven portfolio insights. We serve clients across Europe and North America, including global leaders in the life sciences and financial services sectors.

Role Overview

We are looking for a driven and strategic Business Development Leadto help us accelerate growth, expand our client base, and position Projects Expert as a market leader in Oracle PPM advisory and SaaS solutions. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, managing the sales pipeline, and contributing to the go-to-market strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to drive new client acquisition in the UK and Europe.
  • Identify and engage prospective clients in sectors where Oracle ERP Cloud is widely used (e.g. life sciences, banking, public sector).
  • Articulate Projects Expert’s value proposition, including SaaS solutions and consulting services through compelling proposals, demos, and client presentations.
  • Leverage existing relationships within the Oracle sales and partner ecosystem to open new opportunities and accelerate deal cycles.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure.
  • Work closely with the product, delivery, and marketing teams to align offerings with client needs.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with Oracle sales and implementation partners.
  • Track market trends, client feedback, and competitive activity to inform strategic decisions.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly sales targets and pipeline KPIs.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in B2B sales, consulting, or business development, ideally in the ERP, SaaS, or professional services sectors.
  • Existing network within the Oracle Cloud or Oracle partner ecosystem (sales, alliances, or consulting channels).
  • Prior experience engaging with Oracle account teams or positioning complementary solutions to Oracle ERP, PPM, or Fusion Cloud customers.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud (especially Oracle PPM Cloud) or similar enterprise software platforms is a strong advantage.
  • Proven track record of developing leads, closing enterprise deals, and building client relationships.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills; ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, growing business.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling into Oracle-based environments (e.g. Oracle Cloud ERP, HCM, SCM) or working closely with Oracle consulting or alliance teams
