The company recently reached its seed funding stage, and this is now a crucial and exciting time for the business as we look to appoint a Business Development Executive.

This role is highly autonomous and will see you influence and pioneer a new class of renewable energy to help combat climate change.

The Role

This new role exists to help deliver the commercial plan for growth through the acquisition and conversion of B2B contracts with internationally acclaimed clients and strategic partners.

With a proactive approach and excellent attention to detail, this role will focus on identifying opportunities for growth, developing leads, and influencing relationships with key parties to make a real difference to the development of the business.

Your Tasks

3-month Deliverables

• Working collaboratively across the business to ensure the delivery of our collective goals.
• Providing input into sensitivity and research studies.
• Researching target areas such as supply chain and feeding this into the wider procurement plan.
• Researching target areas such as operating costs (OPEX) and feeding this into the wider business model.
• Supporting discussions and presentations to investors, government, and grant funding organizations to contribute to the financial growth of the business.
• Supporting the creation of high-quality presentations and documentation aimed at securing further investment.
• Managing various project channels.

By Year End You Will Have

• Monitored economic market trends and future customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
• Worked in collaboration with the Business Development team to translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Supported B2B industry and government events.
• Expanded the opportunity pipeline by generating effective and commercially viable leads.
• Provided industry insights about developments, competitors, and emerging technologies to support Drift’s market position.

Your Skills And Experience

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Degree in business development, economics, or a related field.
• Excellent IT skills, particularly with MS Office.
• Ability to prepare client-ready presentations.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Experience in the Maritime and Energy sectors.
• Support in grant writing.
• Effective stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Marketing and sales experience.
