Rubicon Recruitment is recruiting a Business Development Executive in Poole. The role focuses on identifying new prospects, building relationships with decision-makers, and closing deals to grow a local client base.
You will be out in the field, building a personal pipeline from day one, with an established induction and clear progression into a business development career within Rubicon’s employee-owned structure.
Day 1: You've got a desk, an induction into Rubicon's markets and services, and a clear target list to start building from.
Day 30: You're out in the local area making first contact, your pipeline's starting to take shape, and prospects know your name.
Day 90: You're closing your first deals, senior stakeholders take your calls, and your pipeline is consistently full.
Improve your working life and build a business development career with progression built in.
We're hiring a Business Development Executive to join the Rubicon team, offering £35,000 per annum with a realistic £45,000 OTE. This is a role for someone who thrives on the chase, from first approach through to closed deal, and wants to own their own pipeline from day one.
Rubicon's growth depends on a steady flow of new client relationships, and we need someone who can get in front of decision-makers, build genuine rapport, and turn a conversation into a signed client. It's a role built for someone who's naturally persuasive, comfortable being out in the field, and driven by closing the deal.
Rubicon is 100% employee-owned (think John Lewis & Waitrose, but smaller and more personal). That means the effort you put in doesn't just hit a target, it contributes to shared success and long-term financial wellbeing for the people doing the work.
You'll sit within a supportive, target-driven team where your results are recognised and rewarded. This role suits someone who's motivated by closing deals and building relationships from scratch, rather than managing an existing account book. With regular team-building events and social activities, you'll be part of a business that genuinely invests in its people.
