Job Description:

An opportunity for a Business Development Director to work in the Technology, Media & Telecommunications sector to lead and grow a portfolio.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Drive one major TMT business, alongside other accounts, to accelerate growth by creating relationships, originating opportunities, and winning revenue across KPMG's service lines.
  • Develop your network at the client, understand their issues, and work with Partners to develop cross-service solutions leading to multi-year, multi-million-pound programs.
  • Collaborate with the UK Sector Lead for TMT and the Global Lead Partner/Client Lead Partner on your accounts, supporting account strategy and opportunity optimization.
  • Lead relationship strategy, develop relationships with clients, and identify gaps and opportunities for growth.
  • Manage senior procurement relationships, lead negotiations, and support fee and T&C agreements.
  • Understand client priorities and sector trends to identify strategic opportunities and support proposal development.
  • Articulate KPMG’s offerings and value proposition effectively to clients.
  • Support the setting of account strategy and drive the client service teams.
  • Build market awareness for KPMG solutions through client and market activity.
  • Promote collaboration across KPMG services and member firms to generate opportunities.
  • Support sales and marketing activities, tailoring approaches for clients and engaging in events.
  • Bring innovative ideas to the account and sector, sharing best practices and intelligence.
  • Act as a sales leader, coaching colleagues to improve sales skills and increase opportunities.
Client Relationships:
  • Spend time at client sites and meetings, building and maintaining relationships.
  • Gather and share insights on client issues and sector developments.
  • Expand points of contact and develop relationship maps and plans.
  • Lead relationship development, especially where no prior relationships exist.
  • Build senior management relationships and support executive engagement.
  • Coordinate client events and measure relationship success.
  • Model professional sales behaviors and leverage KPMG sales support.
  • Identify and develop white space opportunities and drive sales conversion.
  • Ensure activities align with KPMG’s account plans and processes.
  • Act as a key seller for new propositions and cross-functional solutions.
  • Provide visibility of sales pipeline and coach teams to increase success.
Key Measures:
  • Net sales performance against plans, growth, and future opportunities.
  • Pipeline development and international opportunities.
  • Relationship development metrics, including CRM scores.
  • Client and colleague feedback, collaboration, and market positioning.
  • Ability to engage at senior levels and deliver insightful, impactful advice.
Skills:
