Job Description:

An opportunity for a Business Development Director to work in the Technology, Media & Telecommunications sector to lead and grow a portfolio.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Drive one major TMT business and manage other accounts to accelerate growth by creating relationships, originating opportunities, and winning revenue across all non-audit service lines at KPMG.
  • Develop your network at the client, understand their issues, originate opportunities, and work with Partners to develop cross-service solutions leading to multi-year programs.
  • Collaborate with the UK Sector Lead, Global Lead Partner, and Client Lead Partner to develop account strategies and optimize opportunities.
  • Lead relationship strategies, develop relationships with clients, and identify gaps to build new relationships.
  • Manage senior procurement relationships, lead negotiations, and support fee and T&Cs agreement.
  • Understand client priorities and sector trends to identify strategic opportunities and support proposals.
  • Articulate KPMG’s offerings and value proposition effectively to clients.
  • Contribute to setting account strategies and drive client service teams.
  • Build market awareness for KPMG solutions through client and market activities.
  • Promote collaboration across KPMG services and member firms to generate opportunities.
  • Support sales and marketing activities tailored to clients and participate in events.
  • Bring innovation and share best practices within the team.
  • Act as a sales leader, coaching colleagues and enhancing sales skills.
Client Relationships:
  • Spend time at client sites and in meetings, both in person and virtually.
  • Gather and share insights on client issues and sector trends.
  • Expand points of contact and develop relationship maps.
  • Lead relationship development, especially where KPMG has no existing ties.
  • Build senior management relationships and coordinate client events.
  • Model professional sales behaviors and leverage KPMG support.
  • Address current issues with timely solutions and ideas.
  • Identify white spaces and develop targeted plans.
  • Enhance sales conversion through rigorous processes and negotiations.
  • Maintain opportunity management systems and provide coaching on sales skills.
Key Measures:
  • Net sales performance, account growth, opportunity scale, and future revenue projections.
  • Pipeline development and new relationship metrics.
  • Client feedback, colleague feedback, and internal collaboration.
  • Ability to engage at senior levels and deliver insights effectively.
Skills:
