Expanding its footprint in the public sector, our client is seeking an experienced Business Development Director to lead its growth strategy and drive high-value opportunities across government departments, NHS trusts, local authorities, and other public bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a targeted sales strategy to increase revenue within the public sector.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities, from initial outreach through to contract negotiation and closure.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers in central and local government, education, healthcare, and related sectors.
  • Lead tender responses, framework applications, and ensure compliance with public procurement protocols.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create tailored print and communication solutions that meet complex client needs.
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities, and public sector forums.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A proven track record of success in business development within print management or document services.
  • Deep understanding of public sector procurement processes, frameworks (e.g., CCS, NHS SBS, ESPO), and sales cycles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercially savvy with a consultative sales approach and a strong drive to exceed targets.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans.

What Our Client Offers:

  • A dynamic and supportive environment with a focus on sustainability and innovation.
  • Uncapped earning potential with a rewarding commission structure.
  • Access to major public sector frameworks and a strong pipeline of opportunities.
  • Flexible working arrangements and opportunities for career progression.
