Business Development Director – Energy, Water & Telco - Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits – Remote, UK

The Role

Are you experienced in closing six-figure consulting and technology deals in the collections and recoveries space? Do you excel at engaging with C-suite decision-makers? If yes, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We seek a proactive new-business expert to lead Arum’s go-to-market strategy for the Energy, Water, and Telco sectors. This full-time, permanent role reports directly to the SVP of Global Sales. You will work remotely within the UK, with occasional travel to clients, events, and our Nottingham HQ.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for the Energy, Water, and Telco verticals
  • Build and maintain a self-sourced pipeline to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Conduct C-suite meetings and discovery sessions, translating pain points into value propositions
  • Design tailored solutions and oversee proposal development to contract signing
  • Negotiate terms to maximize value and manage risks
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast data in HubSpot
  • Serve as the main contact between prospects and delivery teams
  • Represent Arum at events and contribute to marketing campaigns
  • Ensure compliance with ISO and GDPR standards
  • Provide insights for future product and strategy planning
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The Person

  • Strong prospecting and lead generation skills
  • Proven success in B2B solution sales and complex client environments, especially in Collections & Recoveries (Essential)
  • Existing relationships at decision-maker/influencer level in the industry (Essential)
  • Experience leading C-level meetings, sales presentations, and closing deals using consultative selling at mid and senior levels
  • Experience selling professional services (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of Collections and Recoveries platforms (e.g., Gentrack, Kraken, Salesforce, C&R Software, CGI, FICO, Exus, Telrock) (Desirable)
