Job summary

Lightspeed Studios is searching for a highly motivated Business Development Associate, Gaming (Contractor) to help support external partnership discussions and post-deal project coordination. This is a unique opportunity to work with international partners in a dynamic gaming environment.

About the Role

Business Unit LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS is made up of passionate players who advance the art & science of game development through great stories, great gameplay, and advanced technology. We are focused on bringing next‑generation experiences to gamers who want to enjoy them anywhere, anytime, across multiple genres and devices.

We are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Associate, Gaming (Contractor) who will support external partnership discussions and play a vital role in post‑deal project coordination and communication. This role is primarily responsible for expanding and maintaining relationships with external partners (e.g., game development studios, technology providers, and related stakeholders), as well as following up on key business matters during ongoing collaborations.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in identifying, reaching out to, and maintaining relationships with potential partners in the gaming ecosystem (e.g., external game development studios, technology providers, IP holders).
  • Support negotiations and contract processes under the guidance of senior BD managers, with a focus on co‑development projects.
  • Act as a key liaison between external partners and internal teams (dev, design, art, etc.) to ensure smooth communication and alignment during the game development process.
  • Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and communication during partnership execution, ensuring both business and technical requirements are met.
  • Prepare reports, meeting notes, and follow‑up action items for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis specific to the gaming industry, with a focus on game development trends, technologies, and player preferences.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and above (Business, Management, Game Design, CS, or related field).
  • Genuine passion for the gaming industry, with first‑hand experience as a gamer.
  • Strong self‑motivation and ability to work independently, including setting up personal work plans and driving execution in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal); proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a strong plus.
  • Availability to begin with a 3‑month internship, followed by transitioning into a full‑time contractor role.
