Karpowership has set up a new subsidiary(“Kinetics” ) to drive its development into new business areasand is focused on creating value through growing.

  • itsrenewable business by 800 MW in Europe over the next 5 years,
  • investing in clean tech energy generation companies and
  • expanding our asset base of floating and storageregasification units (FSRUs) to advance the LNG to power transitionaround the world rapidly.

The Kineticsbusiness plans to build a portfolio of 800 MW of PV and BESS projectswithin the UK and Europe across the next 5 years, through

  • acquisition of ready-to-building projects
  • completing the financial investment decision including thesecuring of any required external financing
  • appointing andmanaging the equipment suppliers and engineering and constructioncompanies to build and deliver the projects.
  • Managing thecommercialization strategy for the assets and negotiating and managingthe sale of the output of the PV projects through government supportmechanisms, corporate PPSs, or trading the projects in the openmarket.

We are looking for an “AssistantCommercial Manager ” to be assigned to our "Kinetics" department located in London Office.

The role is tosupport the development and acquisition of new companies and newassets in the renewable space in delivering the above objectivesthrough undertaking the following activities.

WHAT DO WE EXPECT?

  • Minimumbachelor’s degree in either an Engineering or Business-related degree,
  • Experience in the renewable generation and/or energy storagesector in business development, commercial management, or businessoperations,
  • The ability to understand financial dataat the contract level and identify appropriate actions indicated byvariances to ensure key metrics are achieved,
  • Goodinfluencing, interpersonal, and networking skills to drivecollaborative culture at all levels,
  • Strong critical thinkingand effective problem-solving skills,
  • Financial understandingand business mindset,
  • Keen and effective team player,
  • Fluent in oral and written English,
  • Top-tier Exceland PowerPoint skills.

WHATAWAITS YOU?

  • Monitor trends in Europeanrenewables markets, identify potential projects, and analyzecompetitors to inform company strategy.
  • Assist with technicalreviews within the team as well as prepare executive review sessionswith both internal and external management teams to identify and,screen the feasibility of identified PV and BESS ready-to-buildprojects and investment opportunities.
  • Coordinate externaladvisors and internal teams for business development and investmentopportunities.
  • Negotiate and finalize commercial andacquisition contracts, ensuring financial closure.
  • Managetimelines and deliverables for land acquisition, environmental, andsocio-economic aspects of projects.
  • Coordinate the evaluationof environmental impact assessments (EIA) and ensure environmentalviability and compliance.
  • Engage with government agencies tosecure permits and represent the company in public forums.
  • Build community relations, address concerns, and ensureenvironmental and land lease compliance.
  • Oversee supplier andEPC contractor negotiations, ensuring timely project delivery withinbudget and quality standards.
  • Prepare necessary reports,manage project budgets, and coordinate between departments to maximizeprofitability.
  • Ensure legal compliance, resolve conflicts ofstakeholders, and monitor project profitability for continuousimprovement.
  • Assist with the negotiation and implementationof the commercialization/monetization strategy for the project byputting in place and managing the PPA agreements with energyaggregators, energy utilities, or corporate clients as required.
