Amazon is innovating in the Operations and Logistics space and looking for a driven, entrepreneurial, and analytical Business Development Manager to join Amazon Shipping UK. Amazon Shipping has exciting plans to accelerate growth across 2026 and beyond, and we are looking for talented individuals to join us on this journey.

The successful Business Developer will be comfortable navigating ambiguity and operating in a start-up environment. We expect the person in this position to be a self-starter, create a sales strategy using self-prospected leads, and be comfortable defining their own structure and ways of working. This role is key to ensuring as a business we can execute upon our ambitious product adoption goals; helping us to break through to new industries and develop across sales markets. This includes acquisition of new customers and partners who we aspire to have a long-term partnership with. You will also have the unique opportunity to onboard and manage the customers you acquire, enabling you to develop your technical and project management knowledge.

You will have experience leveraging and coordinating cross functional teams such as Marketing, Operations, Procurement, Finance, and IT and have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding program goals and targets.

A day in the life

In this role, your day involves identifying and securing new business opportunities for Amazon Shipping. You'll utilize various sale and marketing channels for lead generation, proactively source new leads, and build a robust pipeline. You'll need to stay close to the pulse on market trends within Logistics, Supply Chain, and Shipping. Securing new business will require you to engage with clients, earn their trust, and tailor business plans to their needs. You'll be comfortable leading negotiations, and managing contract creation as well as ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for customers. Once a customer has onboarded you will be responsible for driving spend adoption and optimization of the Amazon Shipping product. Constantly evaluate and improve processes, seeking opportunities for business expansion and addressing challenges proactively.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience in business development, partner development, sales or alliances management
  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English
  • Proven track record of owning the full sales cycle - from self-prospecting to negotiation and closing.
  • Experience building and managing a commercial pipeline independently.
  • Experience in exceeding quota and key performance metrics
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience selling logistics, shipping, or supply chain services (carrier, 3PL, or freight).
  • Track record of structuring non-standard, bespoke commercial deals with P&L ownership.
  • Experience working in a startup or early-stage business environment within a larger organization.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce or similar) and data-driven pipeline management.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional teams (Product, Operations, Tech) without direct authority.
