Hitachi Energy seeks a Business Controller for the Power Consulting business in the UK and Spain. You will partner with business leaders to drive performance, support strategic decisions, and enable profitable growth.

This highly visible international role offers exposure to financial planning, reporting, governance, and business partnering across two countries. You will turn data into meaningful business insights to grow the global organization.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in controlling, financial analysis, accounting or business finance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and financial reporting skills.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP; advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders in international teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted finance business partner for Power Consulting teams in the UK and Spain.
• Support strategic decision making through financial analysis and business insights.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and long-term business plans.
• Monitor performance, identify risks and opportunities, and drive improvements.
• Deliver monthly reporting, financial analysis, and performance reviews.
• Lead governance, compliance and internal controls.
• Support audits, risk management and balance sheet reviews.
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and data quality.

How you'll make an impact

Your background

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3-7 years of experience in controlling, financial analysis, accounting, or business finance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial reporting skills.
• Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
