Job summary

VOIS (Vodafone Intelligent Solutions) in Newbury seeks an experienced Business Assurance professional to drive strategic transformation and extend second-line assurance across Vodafone markets.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will build partnerships with senior stakeholders, lead a small team of 2nd Line Assurance Experts, and deliver measurable value through risk management, leakage prevention and governance improvements.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Business Assurance, Risk Management, Finance, Shared Services, or business transformation environments.
• Strong communication, influencing and leadership skills with ability to engage senior stakeholders.
• Proven experience leading geographically distributed teams through transformation.

About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Assurance professional to drive strategic transformation and operational excellence across Vodafone's international Business Assurance activities. Reporting to the Senior Manager Business Partnering, you will play a key role in shaping assurance strategy, expanding assurance services into new business domains, and strengthening second-line assurance capabilities. Working closely with senior stakeholders across Vodafone markets, you will influence business decisions, lead a team of 2nd Line Assurance Experts, drive innovation, and deliver measurable business value through effective risk management, leakage prevention, and strong business partnering.

What you will do

• Lead the development and execution of Business Assurance roadmaps across Vodafone markets, driving process standardisation and continuous improvement.
• Identify, assess and support the mitigation of leakage risks by collaborating with business and technology stakeholders.
• Define and monitor key performance indicators to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of end-to-end business processes.
• Shape and implement optimal delivery models in partnership with local markets and VOIS to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Utilise analytics and business insights to support strategic decision-making and expand assurance initiatives across markets.
• Act as a trusted advisor to internal and external senior stakeholders, building strong partnerships and influencing strategic decisions.
• Lead transformation programmes that enhance controls, assurance methodologies, and second-line assurance capabilities.
• Drive the growth and adoption of Business Assurance services with a special expertise in enterprise segments and new technologies across operating companies, strengthening business engagement and impact.
• Lead and develop a team of 2nd Line Assurance Experts while fostering a culture of innovation, inclusive leadership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Who you are

• Extensive experience in Business Assurance, Risk Management, Finance, Shared Services, or business transformation environments, with a strong track record of driving strategic change and business value.
• Exceptional communication, influencing and leadership skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships and engage senior stakeholders across international organisations.
• Proven experience leading high-performing, geographically distributed teams through transformation and organisational change.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate assurance insights into practical business outcomes and value creation opportunities.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, challenge established thinking, and make sound decisions in dynamic environments.
• In-depth understanding of Margin, Revenue & Cost Assurance, 2nd Line Assurance, Leakage Risk Management, controls and governance frameworks.
• Strong analytical and financial skills with a passion for leveraging data, innovation and technology to strengthen business performance and risk management.
• Demonstrated success in delivering transformation initiatives that drive measurable organisational and commercial impact.
• Excellent influencing, critical thinking and data literacy skills, with the ability to shape strategy and drive adoption of modern assurance practices in telecommunication industry
