Job summary

Yeovil College is seeking a Business Assessor Programme Manager to lead apprenticeship delivery, coaching and assessment for a caseload of 55–75 learners. You will ensure high-quality on- and off-the-job training, track progress, and support learners through Gateway and End Point Assessment.

You will work with employers and college staff to develop learning plans, monitor milestones, ensure funding and standards compliance, and contribute to curriculum planning and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Strong industry expertise with 3+ years in the relevant business area.
• Commitment to learner success with ability to motivate apprentices.
• Teaching or assessing qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
• Confidence with IT and online portfolio systems.
• Excellent communication and professional relationship-building.
• Organised, proactive and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of 55–75 apprentices and support from enrolment to End Point Assessment.
• Deliver high-quality on- and off-the-job training, coaching and assessment.
• Track progress using Smart Assessor and ensure compliance with standards.
• Contribute to apprenticeship standards development and learner journeys.
• Support recruitment, curriculum planning and quality assurance activities.
• Inspire apprentices to achieve their potential and progress into careers.
