About The Role

As a Business Analyst within the Change Team, you will play a key role in identifying opportunities to improve processes, services, and ways of working across the firm. Working closely with stakeholders at all levels, you will analyse business challenges, define requirements, facilitate change initiatives, and help deliver practical solutions that improve efficiency, compliance, service quality, and user experience. You will act as a bridge between operational teams, subject matter experts, project teams and suppliers, ensuring solutions align with business objectives and deliver measurable benefits.

We are looking for someone to work part-time, 3 days per week on a 6 month fixed term until 31/03/27 with the possibility of being extended.

We are looking for a proactive Business Analyst to join our Change Team. This role will give you the opportunity to apply and develop your business analysis, stakeholder engagement, solution design and process improvement skills across a range of change initiatives. You will work with legal and business support teams, subject matter experts, project teams, suppliers and technical specialists to understand current challenges, define requirements and support solutions that align with business objectives and deliver measurable benefits.

Your responsibilities will include engaging with stakeholders to understand their objectives and identify opportunities for improvement; eliciting, documenting and validating business requirements through interviews, observation and process reviews; analysing existing processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies, risks, duplication and opportunities for optimisation; and producing clear analysis artefacts such as process maps, requirements documentation, user stories and business cases.

You will also help design future-state processes and operating models that support our business goals. This will include developing solution concepts, mock-ups, prototypes and workflow designs to support stakeholder engagement and solution evaluation. Acting as a trusted advisor and liaison between stakeholders, project teams, suppliers and technical specialists, you will play a key part across the project lifecycle, including design, testing and delivery support.

It is an integral part of this role that you comply with information security and all firm policies and procedures.

You will bring proven experience in business analysis, process improvement, business change or a related discipline, together with a strong understanding of business analysis principles, techniques and best practice. You will be confident gathering, documenting and managing business requirements, and able to analyse complex processes before translating your findings into practical recommendations.

You will be comfortable producing process maps, workflow diagrams, requirements specifications, user stories and functional documentation. You will also understand business change, continuous improvement and change management approaches, and have familiarity with project delivery methodologies including Agile, Waterfall and hybrid approaches.

You will have experience facilitating interviews and stakeholder engagement activities, with a track record of working closely with project and technical delivery teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications. You will be able to assess business impacts, risks, dependencies and benefits, and support projects and change initiatives through the full lifecycle.

You will use evidence, data and stakeholder insight to identify root causes and develop practical solutions. You will be able to break down complex problems, evaluate options effectively and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. You will also communicate clearly and confidently through written documentation, presentations and workshops, adapting your style to suit different audiences.

You will be comfortable facilitating discussions and helping stakeholders reach informed decisions, while remaining flexible when priorities or business needs change. You will be proactive in identifying opportunities to improve processes, services and ways of working. Experience in legal services would be advantageous, although we would also consider experience gained in professional services or similarly regulated environments. Relevant business analysis, change management or project management qualifications are desirable but not essential.
