The Mining Remediation Authority is looking for a Business Analyst for a 12-month fixed-term role in Mansfield. You will lead business analysis for projects, engaging with stakeholders to understand and document requirements.

About You

Are you looking for a challenging 12‑month fixed‑term role where your expertise helps to shape future processes and tools as part of a large change programme?

Do you have experience supporting the implementation of large enterprise systems, and want to apply your business analysis skills to projects that deliver real environmental and public value?

Are you a confident and effective communicator, comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders to understand requirements and drive successful delivery?

You will work on projects of different scale and complexity. On small to medium‑size projects, you will lead and deliver business analysis activities independently, taking ownership from requirements through to solution. On larger transformation programmes, you will work as part of a wider BA team, supporting the Senior Business Analyst with requirements gathering, process analysis, stakeholder engagement, and system implementation—contributing meaningfully to complex initiatives while developing your experience of large‑scale change.

You will engage with a wide range of stakeholders to elicit, critically analyse, and clearly document detailed business requirements, ensuring that all inputs are captured accurately and align with the strategic goals of the organisation.

You will be expected to review, analyse, and enhance existing business processes, working collaboratively with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and documenting both the current ("as is") and proposed ("to be") process states using industry‑standard process‑modelling tools and methodologies.

About The Role

Taking ownership of and delivering comprehensive business analysis activities across a range of business change projects, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives while working effectively within both Waterfall and Agile delivery frameworks.

You will actively contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of the Business Analysis function by identifying opportunities for improvement, sharing best practices, and supporting the implementation of enhanced tools, techniques, and standards.

Role Information

Role location: Hybrid working at our Mansfield office, with on‑site days flexible and agreed depending on the work required.

Successful candidates must pass basic security checks and will be subject to UK Immigration requirements.
