Job summary

USS Investment Management Limited is seeking a Business Analyst to define project scope, elicit requirements, and document operating models. The role involves working with sponsors and developers across data strategy initiatives, supporting end-to-end delivery and governance on financial services projects.

You will map current and target processes, collaborate on solution design, and maintain architecture models while engaging stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

• Extensive prior business analysis experience.
• Experience writing solution design and operating model documentation.
• Strong background in financial services, with asset management exposure.
• Experience with data models, data dictionaries and data flows.
• Jira and Confluence familiarity is desirable.
• Proficient SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• Experience mapping current and target processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope and agree high-level objectives with stakeholders.
• Elicit, analyse, and document detailed requirements with users and developers.
• Map current state, define future state and target operating model.
• Support end-to-end delivery including planning, testing and implementation oversight.
• Collaborate on solution design and feasibility with technical teams.
• Lead impact assessments, RAID, testing support and governance.
• Maintain enterprise architecture models (ArchiMate, BPMN 2.0).
