Job summary

nology is seeking Business Analysts (Senior/Consultant level) to translate complex business needs into clear, deliverable outcomes. You’ll be developing capability across requirements and process analysis, or leading analysis across a workstream, product or programme.

The role involves eliciting and prioritising requirements, producing epics and user stories, using UML/BPMN, and working with cross-functional teams to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven BA experience in Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of system integrations, data flows, APIs and transformations.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Miro or Excel.
• Experience owning complex workstreams and mentoring others.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyse, model, document, validate and prioritise business and technical requirements.
• Create artefacts including user stories, epics, process models, business rules, data specs and acceptance criteria.
• Use structured analysis and process-improvement techniques (UML, BPMN, capability mapping, impact assessment).
• Collaborate with product, architecture, engineering, data, testing and delivery teams to drive outcomes.
• Assess impacts, dependencies, risks and opportunities from change.
• Support solution validation, UAT planning, defect triage, production readiness and post-implementation reviews.
• At senior level, lead analysis activity, assure quality, coach others and influence decisions.

Business Analyst/Senior Business Analyst

Location: Newcastle, three days per week on site- must be willing to relocate if not local

Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract, with the intention to convert to permanent

Level: Senior Analyst / Consultant

We’re hiring Business Analysts at two experience levels to help translate complex business needs into clear, deliverable outcomes. You may be developing your capability across requirements and process analysis, or bringing the experience to lead analysis across a workstream, product or programme.

What you’ll do:

• Elicit, analyse, model, document, validate and prioritise business and technical requirements.
• Create high-quality artefacts including user stories, epics, process models, business rules, data specifications and acceptance criteria.
• Use structured analysis and process-improvement techniques such as UML, BPMN, capability mapping and impact assessment.
• Work with product, architecture, engineering, data, testing and delivery colleagues to support successful outcomes.
• Assess business impacts, dependencies, risks and opportunities arising from organisational and technical change.
• Support solution validation, UAT planning, defect triage, production readiness and post-implementation reviews.
• At the more experienced level, lead analysis activity, assure quality, coach other analysts and influence business and technology decisions.

What we’re looking for:

• Proven business analysis experience in Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• An understanding of system integrations, data flows, APIs and digital or technology-enabled transformation.
• Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Miro, Lucidchart or Excel.
• For the upper end of the range, experience owning complex workstreams, shaping analysis strategy or mentoring others.
• Proven Business Analysis experience within technology or business change environments
• Strong requirements gathering and process mapping experience
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Visio and Miro
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Must be able to obtain SC Clearance.
