Job summary

Higher Ed Partners in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to drive transformation across business, tech and delivery teams, turning needs into deliverable outcomes.

You’ll combine BA expertise with Product Ownership, Agile delivery, UAT and continuous improvement, shaping backlog prioritisation and ensuring benefits are realised.

The role offers a competitive salary (£60,000–£70,000), 25 days’ annual leave and a collaborative, inclusive environment where ideas matter.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Business Analyst in an Agile environment.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban or product-led delivery.
• Experience translating business needs into clear requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• A track record of facilitating workshops and bringing stakeholders together.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience developing business cases or cost-benefit analysis.
• The ability to influence, challenge and build consensus.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
• Experience supporting UAT and business change.
• Experience in business transformation, process improvement, UX/customer journey mapping or working with third-party technology partners advantageous.

We’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join us at an exciting time of growth, change and transformation.

This isn’t a role where you’ll simply gather requirements, write documents and hand them over. We’re looking for someone who enjoys getting stuck in — someone who can understand a business challenge, bring the right people together, ask the right questions and help turn ideas into solutions that genuinely make a difference.

You’ll work across business, technology and delivery teams, helping us decide what matters most, why it matters and how we can deliver it successfully.

You’ll combine your Business Analysis expertise with elements of Product Ownership, Agile delivery, User Acceptance Testing and Continuous Improvement, giving you plenty of variety and the opportunity to have a real influence on how we deliver change.

What will you be doing?

You’ll be at the heart of our projects and transformation initiatives, helping to turn business needs into clear, deliverable outcomes.

You’ll:

• Get under the skin of business challenges, opportunities and objectives, working closely with stakeholders across the organisation.
• Lead engaging discovery sessions and workshops, bringing different perspectives together and creating clarity around what needs to happen.
• Turn ideas and requirements into epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria and process maps that delivery teams can work with.
• Help assess opportunities through impact assessments, business cases and cost-benefit analysis, ensuring we invest our time and resources in the right areas.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes, remove inefficiencies and find better ways of working.
• Take on Product Owner responsibilities for selected initiatives, helping shape and prioritise backlogs around business value, risk and strategic priorities.
• Work alongside delivery teams through sprint planning, refinement, reviews and releases.
• Champion effective Agile ways of working and help teams continuously improve.
• Plan and coordinate User Acceptance Testing, making sure solutions work for the people who will ultimately use them.
• Support business readiness, training and adoption so that new solutions don’t just launch — they actually deliver the intended benefits.
• Build trusted relationships across business and technology teams, balancing different priorities and helping stakeholders reach agreement.
• Provide insight and challenge when needed, helping move conversations from “what do we want to build?” to “what outcome are we trying to achieve?”

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who is naturally curious, commercially aware and comfortable working with people at all levels.

You’ll bring:

• Significant experience as a Business Analyst in an Agile environment.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban or product-led delivery.
• Experience translating business needs into clear requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• A track record of facilitating workshops and bringing stakeholders together.

Experience within Higher Education, EdTech or a similar work environment would also be advantageous.
