Are you a detail-driven Business Analyst with a passion for turning complex business and user needs into clearly defined product requirements?

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a high-growth technology company developing AI-driven software solutions in the personal tax and compliance space. This business is on a mission to simplify tax through intelligent automation — and they need a Business Analyst to help shape and deliver their product roadmap.

The Role

You’ll be embedded within a cross-functional product team, working closely with engineering, product managers, and customer-facing teams. Your role will focus on translating business concepts into signed-off, actionable requirements that are technically sound, well-structured, and ready for development.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse and document business and user requirements, including user journeys, flows, and edge-case scenarios.
• Translate high-level concepts into user stories with defined acceptance criteria.
• Run SQL queries and analyse data structures to define requirement baselines.
• Interpret and summarise API documentation and third-party specifications.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and QA to ensure smooth delivery and sign-off.
• Coordinate and support go-live processes, including testing, monitoring and issue tracking.
• Review Figma screen designs and Jira tickets to validate alignment with requirements.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience translating business needs into well-structured technical requirements.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL, APIs, XML/XSD, and scripting tools.
• Familiarity with tools like Confluence, Lucidchart, Figma, and Jira.
• Experience working in cross-functional product teams within a tech environment.
• Strong communicator with a proactive, collaborative mindset.
• Bonus: Knowledge of AWS Serverless environments or previous work in tax/finance software.
