Job summary

• Knowledge of aircraft certification and regulatory compliance
• Experience working in regulated engineering or development environments
• Experience across international or transnational programmes and stakeholder groups
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams across complex aerospace and defence programmes

Responsibilities

• Analyse stakeholder needs and translate into clear, structured business and technical requirements.
• Capture, document, maintain and manage requirements throughout the engineering lifecycle.
• Establish and maintain requirements baselines, managing change requests and assessing their impact.
• Ensure end-to-end traceability between customer needs, requirements, technical solutions, implementation and verification activities.
• Support requirements decomposition and allocation across relevant engineering domains.
• Work closely with engineering, development and verification teams to ensure requirements align with technical implementation.
• Produce, review and maintain technical documentation and engineering deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with requirements engineering processes and governance standards.

Up to £67 p/h Inside IR35

A leading Defence client based in Reading are seeking three Security Cleared Business Analysts with Software Engineering within the Aerospace/Aircraft domain, or Platform Engineering within the Defence domain to support Digital Engineering programmes within the aerospace and defence sector.

Candidates must have demonstrable experience within UK aerospace or defence environments, ideally working with the MOD, Defence Digital, defence prime contractors or their suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse stakeholder needs and translates them into clear, structured business and technical requirements.
• Capture, document, maintain and manage requirements throughout the engineering lifecycle.

• Experience working with MOD programmes, defence prime contractors, system integrators or specialist suppliers.
• Knowledge of aircraft certification, qualification processes and regulatory compliance.
• Experience working within regulated engineering or development environments.
• Experience working across international or transnational programmes and stakeholder groups.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams across complex aerospace and defence programmes.
