Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to support MOD and aerospace programmes on a contract basis. Based in Reading with a minimum on-site commitment of 20–50%, the role supports digital engineering initiatives across Synthetics, ITEA, or Training and Through Life Support (TLS).

Responsibilities

Our client, a leading organisation in the defence and security sector, is seeking a Technical Business Analyst for a contract role supporting sensitive MOD and aerospace programmes. Based in Reading, the role requires a minimum on-site commitment of 20-50% and offers the opportunity to contribute to digital engineering initiatives across Synthetics, ITEA, or Training and Through Life Support (TLS).

Job Requirements:

• Active Security Check (SC) clearance is mandatory; valid Developed Vetting (DV) clearance is preferred
• Experience in business analysis, stakeholder engagement and requirements management
• Practical experience in one of the following areas: modelling and simulation, virtual and physical testing, qualification and certification, or training and through-life support
• Background delivering digital tools within aerospace, MOD or wider defence environmentsUnderstanding of requirements traceability, change control and systems engineering lifecycles
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working with defence prime system integrators, suppliers or transnational teams
• A degree in aerospace engineering, computer science, systems engineering or a related discipline

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of aircraft certification, qualification processes and regulatory compliance
• Experience working in regulated development environments
• Knowledge of ArchiMate and/or TOGAF
