Job summary

Senior Business Analyst - 12 month contract - Hybrid, minimum 2 days/week in office - paying up to £520 Inside IR35

About the Role

Our client is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to lead a clean-sheet redesign of how data is ingested across the business, replacing several siloed, legacy approaches with a single reusable ingestion pattern. You'll work closely with data and technical architects through an aggressive build-out and migration, operating in a fast-moving environment where much of the future operating model is still being defined.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and design of a reusable, cross-domain data ingestion pattern
• Partner with architects to replace multiple siloed ingestion approaches with a single strategic solution
• Map dependencies and impacts across product and data domains
• Facilitate workshops across engineering, data and product squads working in an Agile model
• Support build-out and migration planning ahead of an early-2027 delivery target
• Validate fitness-for-purpose with stakeholders (engineering owns test execution)
• Contribute to broader siloed-systems work as the initial scope matures

Skills & Experience

• Strong track record as a Business Analyst on complex data or platform transformation programmes
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and evolving requirements
• Experience across cloud/data platforms (AWS, Databricks, Snowflake or equivalent)
• Agile ways of working, ideally within a squad-based delivery model
• General reference data, ingestion pipeline or data curation experience transfers well
• Cloud/architecture awareness helpful; deep technical design sits with architects
