About The Role

As a Business Analyst, you will work at the heart of a data-driven transformation, helping the business make smarter, faster decisions through meaningful insight. You'll collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to gather requirements, interpret asset-driven data, and deliver Business Intelligence solutions that add real value.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning complexity into clarity - someone with a passion for data, strong analytical skills, and the confidence to communicate insights to a wide range of audiences.

As a Business Analyst, you will:

Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritise reporting and data requirements
Act as a key link between operational teams and BI developers, ensuring solutions are accurate, relevant, and impactful
Analyse and interpret complex asset and operational data (e.g. infrastructure, field, or engineering data) to support smarter decisions
Build clear and contextualised visualisations and reports using Power BI or similar tools
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation through data-driven insights
Promote the use of trusted data sources and consistent business terminology across the organisation
Translate business needs into user stories, functional and non-functional requirements, use cases, and acceptance criteria

Requirements

Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within a data-rich or asset-heavy environment (e.g. energy, renewables, utilities, infrastructure, logistics)
Demonstrable experience delivering solutions in Business Intelligence projects
Experience working with and interpreting asset data
A strong understanding of data quality and experience standardising complex data sets
Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Confident communicator, comfortable working with both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to present data-driven insights and visualisations in a way that makes sense to business users
