Job summary

Damco Solutions in Glasgow is seeking a Business Analyst (Data Lineage) on a contract-hybrid basis. You will partner with CIO groups, business units, and platform teams to promote the adoption and ongoing governance of data lineage and related governance platforms.

The role requires strong technical understanding, excellent communication, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholders across the enterprise. Hybrid work within Ir35 constraints is expected.

Job Title: Business Analyst [Data Lineage]

Role Overview

The Business Analyst will partner closely with CIOs, Business Units/Functions, application owners, and their delegates to support the successful adoption and ongoing operational excellence of key data governance platforms, including Data Modelling, Data Lineage.

The role requires strong technical understanding, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Support

• Guide users through platform usage, onboarding, and best practices.
• Investigate, analyze, and resolve user‑reported issues.
• Liaise with engineering and platform teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Proactively identify recurrent issues and recommend improvements.

3. Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as the primary point of contact for CIO groups, BU/Function leads, and application owners.
• Facilitate discussions, manage expectations, and maintain strong working relationships.
• Handle escalations professionally, including those involving challenging stakeholders.

4. Tracking & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain dashboards, status reports, and progress trackers for leadership and governance forums.
• Ensure transparency in issue management, adoption metrics, and system performance insights.
