Job summary

Taleo in Greater London is seeking a Finance Data Governance Business Analyst to support a strategic data transformation programme across finance.

You will combine business analysis, data governance, and change management to improve how finance data is defined, governed, accessed, and consumed.

The role requires collaboration with finance stakeholders and data governance teams to establish governance frameworks and ensure data quality in reporting and analytics.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Business Analyst in Finance, Finance Transformation, Data, or Analytics.
• Strong knowledge of finance processes, financial reporting, and data management.
• Proven ability to gather requirements, run workshops, and produce BA documentation.
• Knowledge of Data Governance, ownership models, data stewardship, and data quality.
• Experience in regulated environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience supporting organisational change and adoption initiatives.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Acts as the liaison between business and IS teams, identifying, defining, shaping, and documenting business processes and requirements for digital solutions.

Skills:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within Finance, Finance Transformation, Data, or Analytics programmes.
• Strong understanding of finance processes, financial reporting, and finance data management.
• Experience gathering requirements, facilitating workshops, and producing business analysis documentation.
• Knowledge of Data Governance principles, ownership models, data stewardship, and data quality frameworks.
• Experience working within regulated environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience supporting organisational change and business adoption initiatives.

We are seeking a Finance Data Governance Business Analyst to support a strategic finance data transformation programme. This role will combine business analysis, data governance, stakeholder management, change management, and finance process expertise to improve the way finance data is defined, governed, accessed, and consumed across the organisation.

The successful candidate will work closely with Finance stakeholders, Data Governance teams, and business users to understand current-state data processes, establish governance frameworks, improve data quality, and support the implementation of reporting and analytics solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong Business Analysis experience within Finance functions and exposure to data governance initiatives in highly regulated industries such as Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, Financial Services, Healthcare, or other SOX-controlled environments.
