Woodside Logistics Group is seeking a Business Analyst to harness data from across the Group and turn it into insights that guide decisions. You will work with large datasets, Excel, and Power BI to develop reports and dashboards, delivering clear insights to stakeholders.

You’ll collaborate with Finance, HR, IT and Health & Safety, review reporting processes, and help define key performance measures. This role is based at our Head Office.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data interpretation.
• Experience creating reports and dashboards using Power BI.
• Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Ability to communicate data insights clearly to stakeholders.
• Relevant third-level qualification or equivalent experience.

About the role

As the volume of data generated across our systems, vehicles and operations continues to grow, we are looking for a Business Analyst who enjoys working with data, solving problems and uncovering insights that can support better business decisions.

Working across different areas of the Group, you will develop a strong understanding of our operations and use data to help us analyse performance, identify trends and opportunities, and improve how we measure and understand our business.

You will be confident working with large datasets, with practical experience of Microsoft Excel and business intelligence tools such as Microsoft Power BI. You should also be able to interpret complex information and communicate insights clearly to a range of stakeholders.

What you’ll do

• Contribute to the preparation and development of weekly reporting across each company within the Group.
• Analyse, interpret and present key business data and insights to senior management.
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using tools such as Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
• Identify trends, patterns and opportunities within data to support informed business decision-making.
• Respond to ad-hoc data and analysis requests in a timely and accurate manner.
• Work closely with departments including Finance, HR, IT and Health & Safety to understand and support their reporting requirements.
• Review existing reporting processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy and consistency.
• Support the development of key performance measures and methods of analysing business performance.
• Ensure data and reporting outputs are accurate, reliable and presented in a clear and accessible format.

What you’ll need

• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Practical experience of developing reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret large volumes of data.
• Working knowledge of SQL.
• Ability to communicate data and insights clearly to a range of stakeholders.
• A third-level qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Familiarity with data modelling and Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes.
• Experience using Microsoft Power Automate and/or Microsoft Power Apps.
• Experience creating and administering Microsoft SharePoint Online sites, including SharePoint Lists.
