Job description

Please be aware this is a Long Term Temporary post to start ASAP.

This role is predominantly Macclesfield based with occasional travel to Crewe.

JOB PURPOSE

To coordinate and undertake administrative support for the Children’s Partnership Boards, cross-service working, and the Children’s Development and Partnerships Team. To support key developments in children’s services and activities aimed at improving service delivery and partnership working.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Coordinate the agenda, papers, reports, venues, minutes, attendance, and follow-up actions for multi-agency and Senior Management Boards and subgroups: ensure the efficient and timely dispatch of business.
  2. Manage and organize the Children’s Partnership Boards, Service, and Team meetings, papers, research, filing, and general administration, including financial processing tasks: facilitate optimal use of time and manage complex agendas.
  3. Liaise directly with Partnership Board members and senior managers of Cheshire East Council and partner agencies.
  4. Organize events for the Service, Team, and Children’s Partnership Boards, such as Board Meetings, subgroups, conferences, development days, and multi-agency workshops.
  5. Manage administrative systems within the team and support cross-service work: handle incoming calls, email inquiries, correspondence, and filing, assessing urgency and importance.
  6. Contribute to the improvement of children’s services: support service developments, partnership working, and maintain high standards.

In accordance with the Council’s Flexibility Policy, the job holder may undertake additional work as determined by the Director/Corporate Manager, up to or at a level consistent with the Principal Responsibilities, in any location within Cheshire East.

You must have:
  • Enhanced DBS/Update service
  • References for the last 5 years of employment
