Job Title: Business Administration Apprentice
Reporting to: Head of HR and Head of Finance
Location: Worcestershire County Cricket Club, New Road, Worcester, WR2 4QQ
Contract term: Full time, fixed term for length of apprenticeship

Purpose of the Role:
We seek to recruit a Business Administration Apprentice to support key operational functions at the Club. This role will provide valuable support across the Finance, Human Resources and Safeguarding departments, helping ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our Business Services team.
The apprenticeship offers the successful candidate an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a unique and fast-paced sporting environment while working toward a nationally recognised qualification in Business Administration.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Finance Support:
- Assisting with invoice processing, purchase orders, and basic bookkeeping
- Supporting monthly expense reconciliations and data entry into finance systems
- Helping compile financial reports for internal use
HR Support:
- Assisting with the onboarding and offboarding processes (e.g. collecting new starter documentation and processing leaver paperwork)
- Maintaining confidential employee records and updating Bright HR
- Inputting payroll data and logging sick absences
- Supporting the coordination and recording of training sessions
Safeguarding:
- Maintaining up-to-date records of DBS checks, training certificates, and incident logs
- Keeping track of who needs to complete safeguarding training or refresher courses
- Booking meetings or training sessions related to safeguarding
General Administration:
- Managing incoming and outgoing communications (emails, phone calls, post)
- Supporting matchday and event logistics as needed

Requirements
- You will have achieved Level 4 GCSE or above in Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Experience of working in an office environment is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
You will need to have the Right to Work in the UK or be able to obtain this by the start date. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
Benefits
Hours, benefits and salary:
This is a full-time role working 35 hours per week over 5 days. This may include working some evenings and weekends, during the busy Cricket season. The apprenticeship is in partnership with GLP training.
This is a fixed term apprenticeship for 15-17 months depending on the time it takes to complete the course.
The salary for this role meets national minimum wage criteria for apprentices.
