Stagecoach Basingstoke is hiring a hands-on Internal Bus Depot Service Assistant Supervisor (Cleaning, Shunting & Refuelling) at Rankine Road, Basingstoke. You’ll lead a small team, refuel, clean and reposition buses to keep the fleet road-ready.

The role demands a proactive leader who can ensure safety, standards, and smooth daily operations. Salary circa £30,900 per annum for 40 hours per week with weekend rotation, plus benefits and career progression opportunities within Stagecoach’s depot

Internal Bus Depot Service Assistant Supervisor (Cleaning, Shunting & Refuelling)

Based at our Basingstoke depot, located at Rankine Road, pay rate of circa £30900 per annum.

Looking for a hands‑on role where you can lead a team and take pride in keeping our fleet safe, clean, and road‑ready? We’re looking for a proactive and dependable Bus Depot Service Assistant Supervisor (Cleaning, Shunting & Refuelling) to join our team at Basingstoke depot. In this role, you’ll work alongside a dedicated crew, helping to refuel, clean, and position our buses, while taking on a leadership role to make sure everything runs smoothly, safely, and to the highest standards.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading a small team of Fuellers/Shunters/Cleaners
• Supporting the team by stepping in to clean, refuel, and reposition vehicles when needed
• Organising daily task allocation and ensuring job sheets and reports are completed accurately
• Planning weekly shift cover, monitoring performance, and supporting improvements
• Ensuring all work meets health and safety requirements and depot standards
• Liaising with management to ensure a smooth and efficient depot operation

What we’re looking for:

• A strong team player who’s also confident taking the lead
• A hands‑on attitude and willingness to support the team on the ground
• A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem‑solving
• A valid UK driving licence (we’ll provide training to move vehicles within the depot)
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern, including weekends
