Metroline Manchester is a recently formed subsidiary of ComfortDelGro. In March 2024, we were awarded contracts to operate four franchises and join the Bee Network in Greater Manchester by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA). Metroline was founded in 1989, is the fourth largest bus operator in London, running about 17 percent of the city’s scheduled bus services, and has been part of the largest private land transport company, ComfortDelGro, since 2000. Here at Metroline, we are 6,000 colleagues strong across the UK, helping carry over one million customers daily. Job Summary

Pay: £17 per hour (increased rate for weekends & BH)

We are seeking individuals passionate about delivering excellent customer service within our local Manchester communities, making journeys to our customers’ favorite places and people enjoyable. Metroline drivers pride themselves on ensuring passenger journeys are safe by adhering to all rules and protocols at all times.

Responsibilities

• Ensure your bus is kept clean and in a roadworthy condition.
• Drive safely in accordance with current road and traffic laws, executing challenging manoeuvres as required.
• Provide exceptional customer service with a positive attitude.
• Maintain professionalism while ensuring smooth and safe transportation for diverse passengers.
• Collaborate with the team and support functions to exceed performance targets.
• Work with management to address malfunctions or suggest improvements.

Hours of Work

Full-time permanent contract, 38 hours per week, with shift work requiring flexibility for early starts, late finishes, and weekends.
