Job summary

Bidvest Noonan in Coventry is recruiting a Bus Cleaning Operative to maintain high standards of cleanliness across our road vehicles. You will clean coaches and buses, wipe surfaces, check for debris, and complete the cleaning checklist with care.

The role offers full uniform, paid holidays, a pension plan, ongoing training and opportunities to progress within a supportive team. Training is provided, and you will work both independently and as part of a larger service crew.

Qualifications

• Experience with cleaning vehicles or similar settings preferred
• Ability to work alone and within a team
• Good written and spoken English to understand notes and communicate with colleagues

Responsibilities

• Clean coaches and buses to high standards
• Sweep and remove rubbish from floors, seats, and cabins
• Check vehicles for lost property
• Wipe armrests, windowsills, and trays; clean windows
• Hoover carpets and seats as needed; clean toilets on board
• Tidy overhead racks and luggage areas; ensure belts and flooring are clean
• Complete cleaning checklist and display at front of vehicle
• Perform touch point cleaning as required

Key responsibilities of a Bus Cleaning Operative

• Cleaning the coaches and buses to best quality
• Sweeping the vehicle and remove all rubbish and debris from the floor, seats and luggage racks and driver's cabin
• Checking vehicle for any lost property
• Wiping down all armrests, windowsills and trays
• Cleaning windows using glass cleaner and a cloth
• Hoovering any carpets (and seats if required)
• Buckle up all seat belts, mopping all vinyl flooring, removing seat pads and hoovering out underneath
• Wiping Overhead luggage racks and footrests
• Cleaning Coach toilets
• Completing the cleaning checklist and displaying at front of vehicle
• Touch Point Cleaning

Key requirements for a Bus Cleaning Operative

• Comfortable working alone and as part of a team
• Ability to prioritise and manage an ever-changing workload
• Cleaning experience would be preferred however full training will be provided
• A good understanding of English, both written and spoken
