About the role:

You will drive a Volvo lorry, all less than 4 years old, equipped with high-spec features for comfort. Most shifts are Monday to Friday, 45 hours weekly, with 9-hour shifts starting around 7/8 am. Our shift schedules are well-organized, often allowing you to know your route in advance. There is job security within our growing global business, with opportunities for additional hours and enhanced pay rates for bank holidays and night shifts (10 pm-6 am). You will join a friendly team, with drivers often staying long-term, supporting each other, and sharing traffic updates via WhatsApp.

Key Role Responsibilities

• Trust drivers to plan routes and manage their own stops, typically 4-6 per shift, ensuring they are home after each 9-hour shift.
• Ensure timely delivery of cages, pallets, freight, stillages, and Yorks. Loading/unloading may be done by you or at the site.
• Scan consignments, drive pallet trucks, and inspect your vehicle daily, completing defect reports if necessary.
• Maintain high standards for customer service, communicate effectively, and pass on queries to the Site Manager as needed.

Candidate Requirements

• Class 1 Driving licence
• Driver CPC qualification card
• Completed or working towards required CPC training hours
• Excellent knowledge of Road Transport Laws and commitment to safety
• A proactive ‘can do’ attitude
