Job summary

Dalcour Maclaren is seeking an Archaeology and Built Heritage Consultant to join our expanding team in Stirling, Scotland. You will work within the Archaeology and Built Heritage Team, providing advice and support to colleagues and clients on projects across the UK’s utilities and infrastructure sector.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1.5 years of experience in commercial archaeology, consultancy, built heritage, or curatorial work.
• Full clean UK driving licence.
• Membership of CIfA (Practitioner/Associate) or IHBC, or willingness to join.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and ability to work independently.
• Experience with historic building recording or geoarchaeology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and support to colleagues within the Archaeology and Built Heritage Team and Environment & Planning Team.
• Prepare Archaeological DBAs and/or Built Heritage Statements and EIA chapters to a high standard.
• Draft WSI and Mitigation Strategies.
• Support colleagues on site as required.
• Undertake consultations with curators, stakeholders, clients and contractors.
• Contribute to site reports.
• Draft fee proposals.
• Work to defined budgets and timetables.
