About this Role
We’re looking for a proactive and skilledBuildings & Maintenance Site Leadto join our Estates and Facilities team. Based at a designated site but working flexibly across multiple properties, you’ll take the lead on maintenance tasks, repairs, refurbishments, and compliance checks, helping us deliver safe and welcoming environments for young people and staff alike.Shift Pattern:Full time 35 hours per week, 8–4, 9–5, 10–6 (on-call rota & occasional bank holiday cover required)Key Attributes

The successful candidate will have following experience
- Skilled in general building maintenance (e.g. plumbing, basic electrics, carpentry, decorating)
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations (IOSH or equivalent desirable)
- Good understanding of housing/building compliance within a supported living or charity setting
- Confident with tools, safety procedures, and maintenance systems
- Experience overseeing others or managing contractors is beneficial
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and maintenance platforms

Responsibilities
- Lead Maintenance Tasks: Deliver and oversee repairs, refits, refurbishments, and in-house maintenance projects.
- Hands-On Work: Carry out a wide range of tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical work, decorating, and general upkeep.
- Contractor Oversight: Supervise contractors and coordinate small teams where necessary to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Compliance & Safety: Conduct risk assessments, ensure statutory tests (e.g. PAT testing) are completed, and support regulatory compliance.
- Tool & Stock Management: Maintain equipment safely, order materials within budget, and liaise with the Estates Officer.
- Facilities Coordination: Assist with housing or office moves, storage installations, and space conversions.
- IT & Reporting: Use maintenance software (e.g., Inform) to log, track and report tasks and monitor performance.
