There are several pathways to become a building technician. At minimum, you will need 4 or more GCSEs grades A-C (9-4) and at least 2 A Levels or BTEC equivalent.
Level 3:
You can study a BTEC Subsidiary or Extended Diploma in Construction & the Built Environment or Civil Engineering; or an Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeship in Built Environment Design or Civil Engineering.
Levels 4, 5 & 6:
You can pursue a HNC, HND, Higher Apprenticeship, or Degree in Construction and the Built Environment, Civil Engineering, or Surveying, among others.
