Macdonald & Company is recruiting a Building Surveyor or Project Manager to oversee a varied programme of new build and refurbishment works across a growing real-estate portfolio.

Based in the West Midlands, you will coordinate with external consultants and contractors to deliver projects on specification, on time and on budget, with travel and overseas stays as required.

Job description

A long-standing and growing real-estate investment business is looking for a Building Surveyor or Project Manager to oversee a variety of new build and refurbishment works across its portfolio.

Based in the West Midlands, you’d be tasked with looking after a variety of projects across both residential and industrial sectors, using external consultants and contractors as necessary to ensure refurbishment and new-build works are completed on specification, on time and on budget.

Ideally coming from a Building Surveying background (but not necessarily), you should have commercial experience at consultancy or client-side already, and be happy to work autonomously as there is plenty to be getting on with. There will also be regular travel and overnight stays as needed, including overseas.
