Job summary

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council is seeking a Building Surveyor to oversee day-to-day maintenance of its operational and investment portfolio across industrial, office and retail assets, with support from external consultants.

The post holder will join a small team, carrying out repairs, compliance works, and inspections of empty properties, while developing and managing small capital and revenue programmes to maximise rental income. Out-of-hours duties may be required.

• Role requires day-to-day response repairs and portfolio compliance works.
• Inspections of empty properties and asset condition.
• Developing and managing small programmes of work (capital and revenue).
• Out-of-hours emergency duties including weekends.
