What you’ll be doing
You will provide a full building surveying service to clients and support the internal team with technical queries.
- Provide technical and professional building services including employer’s agent, project management, design, and contract administration for multiple construction projects.
- Manage internal resources, contract drafting, and oversee other technical consultants as part of the design team.
- Manage principal contractors, ensuring projects meet client specifications, are value for money, and adhere to time, cost, and quality objectives.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external parties to ensure successful project implementation and completion.
- Fulfill all duties on behalf of the client, including those required by the Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations 2015.
- Maintain relationships with existing clients and develop new business opportunities.
- Keep up-to-date with legislation affecting building surveying, sharing knowledge where appropriate.
What we’re looking for
- Membership of a professional body MRICS or MCIOB
- Degree in Building Surveying or similar
- Experience in property & construction industry with evidence of project delivery, ideally within the public sector
- Advanced knowledge of professional building surveying practices
- In-depth understanding of building/facilities management contracts, e.g., JCT contracts
- Good communication skills for liaising with multidisciplinary teams and clients
- Proactive, detail-oriented approach ensuring accuracy and quality
