What you’ll be doing

You will provide a full building surveying service to clients and support the internal team with technical queries.

• Provide technical and professional building services including employer’s agent, project management, design, and contract administration for multiple construction projects.
• Manage internal resources, contract drafting, and oversee other technical consultants as part of the design team.
• Manage principal contractors, ensuring projects meet client specifications, are value for money, and adhere to time, cost, and quality objectives.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external parties to ensure successful project implementation and completion.
• Fulfill all duties on behalf of the client, including those required by the Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations 2015.
• Maintain relationships with existing clients and develop new business opportunities.
• Keep up-to-date with legislation affecting building surveying, sharing knowledge where appropriate.

What we’re looking for

• Membership of a professional body MRICS or MCIOB
• Degree in Building Surveying or similar
• Experience in property & construction industry with evidence of project delivery, ideally within the public sector
• Advanced knowledge of professional building surveying practices
• In-depth understanding of building/facilities management contracts, e.g., JCT contracts
• Good communication skills for liaising with multidisciplinary teams and clients
• Proactive, detail-oriented approach ensuring accuracy and quality
