Job summary

Fulkers Bailey Russell is seeking a dedicated Building Surveyor to join our Public Sector team across healthcare, blue light, education and local government projects. The role involves working with Senior Building Surveyors to oversee projects, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and budget adherence, with hybrid working and on-site visits as needed.

You will contribute to feasibility studies, planning applications, and contract administration while supporting business development and DBS

Qualifications

• Degree qualification (RICS-accredited or equivalent).
• Chartered or working towards RICS chartership.
• Strong technical grounding across core building surveying areas.
• Client-focused mindset with a drive to deliver cost-effective, outcome-based solutions.

Responsibilities

• Act as Contract Administrator and/or Employers Agent when required.
• Prepare design and specifications for projects.
• Manage projects of varied size and complexity.
• Undertake surveys and site inspections.
• Prepare tender documentation, evaluations, and recommendations.
• Provide contractual advice to design team and clients.
• Prepare CAD plans and review drawings.
• Lead multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Lead designer on projects.
• Coordinate site visits and surveys.
• Undertake day-to-day project duties.
• Prepare feasibility reports and planning applications.
• Assist senior surveyors with Party Wall matters and dilapidations.
• Maintain health and safety responsibilities.
• Support social and environmental impact improvements.
