Job summary

Connect Legal Partners is seeking a proactive Building Surveyor to support the surveying team with inspections, condition reports, measured surveys and defect investigations across commercial, residential and insurance-led projects.

You will prepare reports, schedules of work and specifications, and help design and oversee works under standard contracts while applying health and safety, party wall and building regulations guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master level degree in surveying, engineering, architecture or planning.
• Experience in surveying, engineering, architectural or planning practice.
• Working knowledge of CDM 2015, party wall and building regs; deadlines-driven.

The firm

A national building surveying and engineering consultancy working on commercial, residential and insurance led projects.

The role

You will support the building surveying team with inspections and advice on the design, construction, maintenance, repair and refurbishment of buildings. Work includes acquisition surveys, condition reports, measured surveys and defect investigations, plus preparing reports, schedules of work and specifications. You will help design and oversee works under standard building contracts, applying health and safety, party wall, building regulations and planning rules.

What you will need

A BSc or MSc and some experience in a surveying, engineering, architectural or planning practice. Working knowledge of CDM 2015, party wall and building regulations, awareness of current technical guidance, and the ability to work to deadlines.
