Job Opportunity: Building Surveyor

We have an exciting opportunity within the Operations team for an experienced building surveyor.

Your Next Role

The successful candidate will be experienced in preparing briefs, developing technical designs, and managing construction contracts from inception to completion. Responsibilities include:

1. Preparing feasibility studies, developing initiatives, and producing detailed technical specifications, drawings, and design solutions for modernization and improvement projects within the capital investment program, ensuring compliance with planning, health and safety, and building regulations, including obtaining necessary permissions. Experience with CAD is preferred.
2. Preparing contractual documents and collaborating with the procurement team during the tendering process to select contractors.
3. Managing project delivery, including chairing progress meetings and reviewing project KPIs with the delivery manager.
4. Monitoring budgets, producing cost reports, and managing invoice payments.
5. Overseeing contractors’ progress and quality of work, including detailed sign-offs.

About You

• Proven track record of delivering projects within commercial and housing properties.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in contract management and managing contractors.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project.
• Full driving license.
• Fluent in English (mandatory for customer-facing roles under Part 7 of the Immigration Act).
