A rare opportunity has come up for a Building Surveyor to move client side with a privately owned property company that has been active in the UK for several decades. This is a full-time permanent role focused on the ongoing maintenance, compliance and improvement of a well-established commercial property portfolio.

The role offers a clear step away from the typical consultancy environment, with the chance to take more responsibility across a defined group of assets. You’ll be working closely with an experienced property team, contributing directly to the long-term management and presentation of a broad mix of sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting regular inspections and identifying repair and maintenance requirements
• Managing planned and reactive works across multiple sites
• Overseeing refurbishment projects and liaising with contractors
• Supporting health and safety compliance and statutory checks
• Preparing maintenance schedules and assisting with cost control
• Liaising with tenants on property-related issues and lease obligations

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in building surveying, property maintenance or project management
• Comfortable working across multiple locations and managing external contractors
• Solid understanding of health and safety and compliance responsibilities
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Practical mindset and a willingness to get involved across a range of duties
• A full driving licence is essential
