Job summary

North West Housing Services in Liverpool is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join our Property Services team. You will lead maintenance and investment works, coordinate reactive repairs, and ensure stock condition surveys are completed accurately.

Reporting to the Property Services Manager, you will manage contract administration, liaise with the Building Safety and Compliance Team, and drive high standards of service for our member co-operatives and leaseholders.

Qualifications

• HND in Building Surveying or equivalent is required.
• Experience delivering property maintenance and investment services.
• Ability to conduct stock condition surveys and data maintenance.
• Knowledge of tendering procedures.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication.
• Strong project management skills.
• Extensive use of computerised maintenance systems.
• Understanding of construction health and safety legislation.
• Full driving licence and access to a car.

Responsibilities

• Oversee reactive repairs and planned maintenance delivery for members.
• Manage void properties and stock condition surveys.
• Prepare and administer contracts and monitor performance.
• Provide reporting to the Property Services Manager.
• Collaborate with Building Safety and Compliance Team to fulfil duties.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure quality workmanship.

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Building Surveyor to join our Property Services team. This is a demanding role offering an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team. We are looking for a person with a positive outlook, strong collaborative skills, a customer focussed approach and sound technical knowledge.

Reporting to the Property Services Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of maintenance and investment services to our members, including reactive repairs, void management, stock condition surveys, contract administration and reporting. You will also be liaising closely with our Building Safety and Compliance Team ensuring compliance responsibilities are fulfilled for our members.
