Job summary

Dudley Metropolitan Council is seeking an experienced Housing Repairs professional to oversee responsive repairs, voids, damp and mould issues, and property condition surveys. You will lead contractor management from diagnosis through to completion and work closely with housing, asset management and maintenance teams to deliver resident-focused outcomes.

You should bring knowledge of housing legislation including Disrepair, Awaab's law and HHSRS, ensuring compliance and high-quality service

Responsibilities

• Experience delivering responsive repairs across housing associations or local authorities.
• Contractor management from diagnosis to completion, including inspections and post-inspections, coordinating with housing, asset management and maintenance teams.
• Understanding of Disrepair, Awaab's law and HHSRS methodology and related legislation.

Job description

Housing Repairs - experience across Housing Associations and or Local Authorities delivering responsive repairs, voids, damp & mould , property condition surveys ,Disrepair and contractor management from diagnosis through to completion
Line management experience with multi-disciplinary craft trades
Contractor & Stakeholder Management - Experienced in raising specifications and works orders, supervising in-house and external contractors, pre and post inspections, working collaboratively with housing, asset management, and maintenance teams to deliver high-quality resident-focused outcomes
Housing Legislation - Experienced and demonstrable understanding of Disrepair/Awaab's law /HHSRS methodology and associated legislation
