Job summary

The Phoenix Collegiate in West Bromwich is seeking a self-motivated individual to join the Site Management Team. You will help maintain the site and buildings, provide janitorial services and handle minor day-to-day repairs for the School.

Your duties include locking/unlocking, keeping the site tidy, coordinating contractors, and performing health and safety checks across the premises. You will also support grounds maintenance, especially the 3G pitch, and respond to alarms outside school hours.

Qualifications

• Basic DIY skills, an understanding of health and safety, and the ability to work alone using their own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Locking and unlocking the school
• Ensuring site is tidy and presentable for site users
• Carry out minor repairs and building maintenance
• Carry out routine fire bell checks, emergency light checks and other routine premises tasks, including regular health and safety checks across the site
• Meeting contractors on site and coordinating their work
• General porter duties to include setting up exam tables, assemblies and other school events
• Being a named key holder to respond to alarms outside of school hours
• Providing grounds maintenance support, particularly in relation to the 3G pitch

Following completion of our school premises and grounds, our first-class sports facilities and community spaces offer additional excellent amenities to our students and the wider community.
