JLL is seeking a Building Services Supervisor to lead a multiskilled engineering team on-site at Victoria Embankment, London. The role focuses on delivering PPM, reactive maintenance, and small projects, while ensuring compliance with EHS, regulatory, and contractual requirements.

The successful candidate will manage building operating assets, supervise staff and subcontractors, and produce monthly reports.

Qualifications

  • Essential: Indentured Apprenticeship or equivalent electrical training.
  • Essential: City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 or recognised equivalent; or 17th Edition IE E Registration.
  • Experience in a critical maintenance environment and operating business critical assets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a diverse team of engineers to ensure high performance.
  • Oversee Planned Preventative Maintenance, Reactive Maintenance, and small projects.
  • Maintain statutory and contractual compliance and monthly reporting.
  • Manage permits to work and operation shut-offs (LOTO).
  • Interface with client representatives and service providers to deliver services.

We are looking for a Building Services Supervisor to join our award winning team onsite at Victoria Embankment.

Job Purpose
  • Ability to lead a diverse team of multiskilled engineers to ensure high performance and delivery.
  • To ensure completion of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Maintenance, Small Projects and Helpdesk Calls in accordance with both client and JLL requirements
  • To manage and monitor the buildings operational functions
  • To be responsible for the buildings operational assets and systems whilst on shift
  • Support the team with permit to work for all specialist vendors and carryout appropriate isolations via LOTO
  • To ensure EHS, statutory and contractual compliance is delivered and maintained, inclusive of Fire, Life & Safety, L8 Water Management, F-Gas, Pressure Systems, Gas Safe
  • To ensure building operating conditions are maintained in line with design specifications together with confirmation of in country regulations, and contractual requirements
  • To ensure all site documentation is collected, analysed, and recorded
  • To produce monthly operational reports, and additional reporting when required
  • To complete HV/LV training and support the facilitation of switching and isolation for Maintenance and Projects activities

Person Specification

Essential

  • Indentured Apprenticeship
  • City & Guilds Parts 1 and 2 (Electrical Installation 2360) or recognised equivalent; or
  • 17th Edition Institute of Electrical Engineers (I.E.E) Registration or recognised equivalent
  • Experience gained within a critical maintenance environment
  • A good working knowledge of BMS, and critical assets and systems i.e. UPS, Emergency Generation-Electrical and Mechanical distribution, Air conditioning
  • Ability to interpret technical information and work with the team to provide solutions to technical / complex issues
  • Good leadership qualities, with a desire to progress within the business
  • Ability to adapt to differing in country regulation and compliance

Knowledge

  • 10 years Building Service experience within a large demanding financial institution, with direct experience of operating and maintaining business critical assets and systems. This will include, but not limited to; - Static UPS, Emergency Generation, Packaged Chillers, A/C, BMS, Distribution systems and associated auxiliaries. A sound working knowledge of emergency and standard operating procedures is also required
