Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Building Services Engineer based in Middlesex. The role involves 3 days on-site in Middlesex and the remainder on mobile, with a van and fuel card provided. Salary is £46,000 per annum, with annual reviews and optional bonuses.

You will carry out maintenance across electrical and mechanical building services, diagnose faults, and ensure compliance across sites. Excellent client-facing and technical skills are required for this fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in Electrical Installations, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience within commercial building maintenance.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding abilities.
• Good understanding of commercial building services and M&E systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience in a high-end commercial environment would be advantageous.
• Professional, customer-focused approach and ability to build positive client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical building services.
• Identify, diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults.
• Complete regular inspections, testing and statutory compliance checks.
• Carry out emergency lighting testing and remedial works as needed.
• Maintain and service motors, pumps, AHUs, FCUs and three-phase electrical systems.
• Ensure site logbooks and maintenance records are accurately kept.
• Respond efficiently to reactive maintenance requests and minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with on-site engineering team and specialist subcontractors.
• Support the safe operation of the building and its M&E systems.
