Job summary

First Military Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Building Services Engineer for a site in Ascot. The role covers mechanical building services, asset maintenance, and ensuring operational performance of estate infrastructure.

Key duties include monitoring CAFM work orders, conducting fault finding on AHUs/FCUs, managing contractors, and supporting catering equipment maintenance. On-site work with 40-hour week and 1-in-5 on-call rota.

Qualifications

• Recognised formal mechanical or plumbing training (e.g., City and Guilds).
• Formal qualifications in a mechanical discipline.
• Significant experience as Building Services Engineer in a large organisation.
• Advantageous: formal catering equipment maintenance training.

Responsibilities

• Monitor reactive and PPM work orders; record accurately.
• Uphold Health & Safety standards within the M&E team.
• Assist with contractor management and service delivery.
• Support on-site CAT scanning (training available).
• Monitor building performance data via the BMS platform.
• Fault-find and repair AHUs/FCUs; replace belts and filters.
• Ensure reliable operation of mechanical services per procedures.
• Maintain compliance logs and test/certification records.
• Assist with small plumbing/mechanical installs for events.
• Participate in on-call rota (1 in 5 weeks).
