Job summary

Building Careers UK Ltd in Warrington is seeking a Building Services Engineer to lead the full lifecycle of building services delivery, from pre-construction design through to handover. You will coordinate M&E packages, supervise installations on site and ensure quality and programme alignment.

The role requires strong collaboration with design teams, consultants and subcontractors, a practical technical approach and a focus on safe, defect-free completion and handover to the client.

Qualifications

• Experience as Building Services Engineer in the construction industry.
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical building services, including design coordination and commissioning.
• Ability to coordinate with consultants, architects, engineers and subcontractors to resolve issues.
• Strong communication, organisation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate drawing, specifications and technical details with consultants and subcontractors.
• Support tendering and procurement of M&E packages and cost planning.
• Oversee installations through site inspections, quality audits and subcontractor QC reviews.
• Identify defects with site teams and drive resolution to maintain quality.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing and specialist services to integrate with design.
• Monitor progress against the contract programme and flag risks to keep works on track.
• Chair services coordination meetings with design teams, managers and subcontractors.
• Ensure commissioning records and manuals are completed and handed over on time.
