Acorn Limited in Watford is looking for a qualified building services electrical engineer to manage planned and reactive maintenance at the Atria Shopping Centre.

Qualifications

• Qualified with City & Guilds in Electrical Installation/Maintenance.
• In-depth knowledge of building services and fault finding.

Responsibilities

This position is for a qualified, building services electrical engineer who can carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive/repair works on the building services plant in our Watford Atria site.

Location: Atria Shopping Centre, Watford

Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days, Weekends and Call outs on a Rota basis, currently 1 in 4.

Shift Patterns (Mon - Fri)

Early shift: 7.30am - 16.30pm

Mid Shift: 8.30am - 17.30pm

Late shift: 09.30am - 18.30pm

Sat – 8.30AM to 6.30PM

Sun – 10.30AM to 5.30PM

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance in accordance with the HVAC specification and annual maintenance programme.
• Ensure engineering standards are maintained to maximize the operation effectiveness and reliability of the plant and associated systems.
• Ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects.
• Follow Company & Site, Health & Safety procedures at all times.
• Maintain accurate site records/documentation in association with all site works.
• Inspect services, proactively address callouts/repairs as required, and as requested by management.
• Attend site emergencies, outside of normal working hours.
• Work within typical plant room environments and at high levels, including using platforms and ladders. All access and PPE will be provided.
• Maintain all company issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
• Proactively work towards the continued success and support of the contract with a positive approach.
• Complete any other associated tasks requested by management.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• City & Guilds Electrical Installation / Maintenance
• IEE 18th Edition
• MEWP or IPAF certificate 3a & 3b
• Proven mechanical/electrical skills in all aspects of Building Services
• In-depth knowledge of building services with the ability to fault find and resolve problems
• Sound Judgment and examples of logical problem solving
• Previous experience of working within a team in a maintenance environment
• Competent working knowledge of all aspects associated with building services (Fire Alarm systems, BMS, Mains Switchgear, Air handling units, heating and ventilation, pumps, calorifiers, CWS and HWS systems)
• Experience with 3 phase power
• C&G inspection & testing
• Health & Safety qualification
• BMS controls
